We arrived at our friends' house around 4:30. After unloading and relaxing we had a yummy dinner with Brian, Pauline and their friends, Len and Isabelle.

I have to say Pauline must have been cooking for days to get ready for our visit. She is really a good cook and a gracious host.

The next day, Friday, we headded off to Meaford where their sailboat, the"MISS FITZ" is docked. Brian and Pauline are quite the sailors and we've heard many tales about their sailing trips on Georgian Bay. Today was our day to experience the joy of traveling by wind power.

On Saturday we took off along the south shore of Colpoys Bay out of Wiarton, toward Skinner's Bluff. We hiked in to a place where we could get a spectacular view over the Bay towards a group of 3 islands (White Is., Griffith Is. and Hay Is.). The trip was a bit rough for Suz, but we got her through it.

On Sunday we headed out toward Sauble Beach, then south to Southampton. From there we went east to Walter's Falls then south to the Lower end of Beaver Valley. Then we drove up to Meaford and finally back to their house.

Monday was a big day. We drove north then east towards Lion's Head. Then on north to the Cabot Head Lighthouse and Museum. From there we continued on to the Bruce Peninsula National park were I climbed a lookout tower then a short hike out to a scenic cove. From there we continued on to Tobermorey where we prepared to board the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry (Big Canoe) for our dinner cruise over to Manitoulin Island. Unfortunately, the boat was over an hour late leaving due to disturbance in the harbor. We did have a really good dinner. Brian and Pauline had Prime Rib and Suz and I had Duck in Orange Sauce. We were back at the dock by about midnight but we stopped on the way home to take in the beauty of the Milkyway and all the stars we never get to see here in Florida.

Tuesday was our last full day with Pauline and Brian and we spent it relaxing and getting ready for our trip home. We want to thank Brian and Pauline for putting up with house gests for 6 days (That's twice what the old saying, "Fish and house guest go bad after 3-days," says is OK.)

Wednesday we headed back to Niagara Falls, ON to spend the night in a hotel allowing us enough time to cross the border, return the car and get to the gate in time for our flight.

All in all, we had a very enjoyable holiday with friends.
