This is a second deed found in Chester Co. PA, Deed Book P, pgs 425-427

The copy I have of page 425 is very light and thus, hard to read. It is a deed from John Kirkpatrick & his wife Jane to Jacob Reynolds.

Made the 26th day of January 1769

The land is in the township of West Nottingham in Chester Co., Pennsylvania

This deed gives the abstract of who the previous owners were, the last before John being Hugh Kirkpatrick & William Edmundson. It appears as if Hugh Kirkpatrick & William Edmundson received this tract land from John & Thomas Sisom on 15 Dec, 1726, containing 490 acres. The land being sold is described slightly differently than in the perviously cited deed. It is also cornered by Henry Reynolds. (eg: on the original deed the distances were described as 206 perches while on the 2nd deed they are described as 218 perches)

The deed ends as follows: " ...where of the said John Kirkpatrick & Jane his wife have interchangeably set their hands & seals the day and year above written. John Kirkpatrick {seal} Jean Kirkpatrick {seal} signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us William Allen, William Haines, John Alexander Chester ss March 24, 1769......."

Jean is declared to be "of age" It was recorded the 28th day of March 1769.
